Costumes by fans of Aeon Flux

( Charlize Theron's influence on Aeon's choice of dress.)

Costume by Tuesday. Halloween 1999. Tuesday (costume designer by trade) sewed the costume out of PCV and fastened the garment together with rivet-style buttons, set in with a grommet maker to achieve the mechanical look of Aeon's clothing. The knee braces were made from plastic model parts and "super sculp". After being painted with a faux metal finish, wide velcro straps were used for attaching the boots (at the expense of comfort). The wig was custom made by a Hollywood shop using wire and glue. To complement the costume, Tuesday commissioned the manufacture of blue/violet contact lenses and custom made eyelashes, and even used the Herodotus File as a reference for the cosmetic supplier to custom match the nail polish and lipstick. The photos seen here were taken in front of a blue screen for some compositing work with some of the various poses.

Costume by Discord, webmaster of Neitherland. Halloween 1997. Assembled components: thigh high vinyl boots, vinyl pants/waist thing with the cheeks strategically altered for visibility, vinyl bra, leather and chain modified bra, elbow length satin gloves, holster, clear lazer noise and lights gun carefully painted silver (so that the lights on the gun are still visible), inline skating knee pads (silver painted), and a perfectly sized box purse to serve as the Aeon pouch. Presto! Discord = Aeon. Discord has since refined her Aeon Flux costume for 1999, and you can see pictures on her site

Candy Keane (formerly Candy Lee, formerly Kandy Lee, formerly Nytfever) made this costume for Halloween in 1996 and dominated on her local Halloween costume contest circuit. Studying the videos and the Herodotus file, she fashioned the outfit from upholstery leather and spent several hours sculpting her hair into the all-to-familiar gravity defying hairdo using hair gel and wire.
